The Next Goblet weekend is December 8th/9th/10th 2017at 4.00pm. The Goblet fish is FLATHEAD
Flathead are a bottom dwelling species and are normally found living on mud, sand and sea grass substrates. You may find flathead hanging around flats in water that’s one or two metres deep . Spawning appears to occur in the lower reaches of estuaries, typically during summer. Flathead do not migrate, other than to chase a food source or breed in late spring and early summer. They are still around in winter and can be caught on lures.
DATES TO REMEMBER:Our Christmas Party will be held in conjunction with our “December “Measure In” on Sunday 10th December. We would love to see you there, to join in the festivities. We always put on a wonderful complimentary Spread for dinner (4pm) and the children are always so excited to see Santa, especially if they receive a present (provided and wrapped by the parent). We also have such fun playing the “Secret Santa” game, whereby you have the chance to steal somebody else’s present. In order to be part of this game, we ask that you please bring a wrapped present per person, so that everyone who brings a present, receives a present. There will of course be the Monthly Raffle to add to the excitement. So please come along and be part of this joyous event. -

Our Fishing Club ethos is “Enjoyable, Sustainable Fishing ” whereby we enjoy recreational fishing, without negatively impacting species. Tuross has the auspicious title of being a “Trophy Fish Area” due to the high number of large fish having been caught here. Therefore, in the name of responsible fishing ,we ask that you please release any Flathead over 60 cm as they are predominantly female and breeders.
